Dane Haylett-Petty

Dane has burst onto the Rugby scene in both a International and Australian front. At only 19 years of age this courageous full back already has many representative appearances to his name including recently being selected as part of the Australian Sevens Squad to compete in the IRB World Series where they will compete across a

number of countries. Dane hopes to use this tournament to gain vital experience in providing a spring board into next seasons Super 14 where he will again line up for the Western Force.

 

Known for his determination and natural ability Dane is a star of the future and promises to continually improve with time on the paddock and experience in International Rugby. Testament to the strength of Western Australian Rugby, Dane is a product which has come through the ranks of the local system to now represent their Super 14 team.

 

Reflective of is natural ability Dane was also a promising cricketer and could have furthered his career in this field if he had chosen to do so, this is certainly reflective of his versatility and his ability to adapt to any given situation which presents itself out on the Rugby pitch. Dane also shows maturity in already planning for post career opportunities at such a young age as he plans to study Commerce at the University of Western Australia.
