Daniel O'Keefe - Sydney Swans

 

Daniel is the cousin of the current Sydney player Ryan O'Keefe, and is a evasive left footer hailing from Warnambool in country Victoria. Daniel was taken with Sydney's first round selection in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft from the Geelong Falcons where he was captain of the u/18 team.

 

Unfortunately for Daniel season 2007 was a year to forget missing most of the season due to injury. However the Swans are confident that he will be a successful senior footballer when he gets his body right as the club is noted as saying that "he was the best talent available in the 2006 draft."

Daniel is a prolific ball winner who combines his composure, evasiveness, and strength above his head into one combined package, which is surely going to contribute to Sydney success in many years to come.
