This versatile star was pick 58 in the 2001 Draft. He is a well-balanced mid-fielder who unfortunately had his first season disrupted by a broken hand.
Season 2003 saw Dane make his debut, and play in three senior games. Due to hard work, maturation and natural progression, this hard nosed, pacy utility took the next step in 2004 playing in thirteen games.
Dane averaged 24 disposals in 2007 and was prominent in the Brownlow Medal polling 20 votes in which was a successful year for both himself and the club.
In no doubt his best game for the year Dane put on a match winning performance amassing 38 disposals and two goals against West Coast in the semi final.
On the back of last year this deceptively quick midfielder who is dangerous around goal built on his 2007 efforts in 2008 delivering some ultra consistent results by averaging just over 24 disposals a game. Dane was rewarded for his stellar year by taking out the Copeland Trophy which is Collingwood's award for the Best and Fairest player for the season.
Dane is based in Melbourne and is available for appearances and Q&A
