Anthony Rock - North Melbourne
Anthony Rock - Former AFL Star, North Melbourne Assistant Coach
In ten seasons with North Melbourne, Rock became part of the woodwork at Arden Street where he played 178 games and kicked 138 goals. He was a key member in the 1996 flag side and 1995 and 1998 pre-series premiership side.
1999 saw Rock move to Hawthorn where he acted as a leader and role model for the young team. His superb professionalism and fitness saw him play every game in 2000. He also registered his 200th AFL match during that 2000 season and provided the Hawks with both leadership and hardness at the ball.
A gutsy, experienced small man, Rock gave his side plenty of drive and proved to be popular with team members, umpires and fans alike.
In 2008 Rock was part of the St. Kilda coaching panel taking the role of assistant coach. However after much debate Rock has decided to head back to his old home of Arden Street to undetake the assistant coaching role alongside his former team mate and senior coach of the North Melbourne Football Club, Dean Laidley.
