We are two to six piece Brisbane based Latin and Calypso band specializing in roving music to all corners or the shopping mall or festival - salsa, merengue, cha cha, camba, cka, calypso, coca, cumbia, Mexican, even belly dance and Bollywood etc etc. We are a humorous, colorful, friendly, interactive and musically excellent group of international quality with twenty three tours to Asia and Pacific.

Exploding onto the scene with horns and drums blasting, five live in tropical colours, personality in motion; Fiesta Tropicale will transport you to a Caribbean carnival with a beat you can't resist. Be caught by surprise as they rove through a doorway into your pool side or cocktail party Music with flavour and passion to set your party mood. You will conga line into the ballroom to dine to the "romantico" sounds of the Bassa Nova and Cha-cha-cha. It's dancing time when trumpet, congas and bongos, maracas, keys and strings bridge all generation gaps. Dance the forbidden Lambada dance, Limbo competitions, Mambo, Reggae, Afro, Salsa, Samba. Our dancer will instruct you in the Limbo, Macarena and Lambada steps.
Enjoy your Latin favourites, La Bamba, Guantanamera. Sing along to those Belafante Calypsos:- Coconuts, Banana and Jamaican songs and recent gypsy Kings, Santana hits and the latest songs like Hot Hot Hot and Macerena. "La Carreta" - An innovation original to Michali which has popularised the band. Take an organ grinders cart on bicycle wheels, install a sound system, tow it by a bass player, shade the keyboardist with a beach umbrella, then you've got a full live band wherever you want it, leaving two dancers and a trumpet player free to dance and interact with the audience.
In the past 13 years Fiesta Tropicale performed at venues from Port Douglas Mirage & Sydney Rocks, to Melbourne Grand Prix, regularly at 5 star resorts & major fun parks in Qld. Noteable T.V Commercial's & Documentries, Japan TV commercial (summer festival 1998), Live it up in QLD. - Qld tourism, Qld media awards, Brisbane Festival. - ABC documentry 1997. Noteable Performances - 1996 , Celine Dion concert - 14 piece support show. Before & after at Gold Coast Conrad Jupiters Casino. (stage). Eagles concert 1996 - Support using Mexican roving group. EXPO 1985. Noteable Residences: South Bank Craft Village ( Brisbane 7th Year. Currently 2 - 3 days weekly, year round. (roving), Japan Hyatt / shopping complex 97,98,99- 30days, Royal Brisbane Show.( The Ekka ) . 1997 & 98, 10 days, Movieworld, Seaworld , Dreamworld. - 20 days annually.
