Kathleen started her singing career in Perth, Scotland where she won many competitions including the Premiership award at the prestigious Edinburgh Festival. Prior to coming to Australia Kathleen performed extensively throughout Europe and broadcast regularly on Scottish radio
Kathleen was the First Principal artist to be contracted with the WA Opera Company performing in Il Trovatore, Cosi Fan Tutti, Albert Herring, Orpheus in the Underworld, Gypsy Baron, The Medium to name but a few and was finalist in the ABC Young performers Awards and the New York Metropolitan Opera competition. 
 
It was during this time that she was spotted by Opera Australia and offered a Principal Artist Contract going on to perform over 30 roles in The Sydney Opera House including, Rosina- Barber of Seville, Varvara - Katya Kabanova, Suzuki - Madam Butterfly, Zerlina – Don Giovanni, Pheobe (Yeoman of the Guard), Lady Saphir – Patience.  A highlight of Kathleen’s career was when she was chosen to sing the role of Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Joan Sutherland and James Morris, New York Metropolitan Opera.
 
Since moving to Queensland, she has expanded her repertoire to include full programs of Opera, Celtic, Musicals, Broadway and contemporary performing in various venues on The Gold Coast, Brisbane, Tamborine Mountain and The Tweed .
 
Kathleen has also recorded 4 albums, which are selling and receiving International airplay to rave reviews. The first being “Kathleen – From The Heart” featuring songs from Celtic to Opera and three duets with tenor Andrew Pryor.
 
Her 2nd Album called “Touching Shadows” features songs such as “Nella Fantasia”, “Barcarolle”, “Scarborough Fair” and “The Flower Duet” from Lakme with Soprano Liza Beamish.
 
Album No 3 “Anytime Anywhere” Released in March 2007 Features songs “I Dreamed A Dream”, “Swan” and “Sleepsong” by Secret Garden, “May It Be” from The Lord of The Rings, and “Ave Maria” and duets with British and International Tenor Gari Glaysher.
 
Her Celtic album “Celtic Footprints” has just been released. Some of the tracks are, Danny Boy, Amazing Grace and Flower of Scotland, complete with bagpipes (Cameron Hart), The Skye Boat Song and My Ain Folk.
 
2007 Australian performances included - Seaworld Nara Resort, Cedar Creek and Heritage Wineries on Mt Tamborine, Venetian Masquerade at the Stamford Plaza Brisbane, The German Club-Gold Coast, Club Benora- Tweed, Riverside Centre-Brisbane, Westfield Shopping Centres in Brisbane, St George’s and St John the Baptist Churches on Mt Tamborine. Performance with The Northern Rivers Orchestra, the Gold Coast Philharmonic, The Tyalgum Music Festival plus various others private functions
 
Kathleen was invited to sing in the USA in Washington, Nevada, Portland, Salt Lake City, Sacramento and Denver in Nov/Dec 2007. She was also interviewed on Cable TV and Radio whilst in the States.
 
2008 Australian Performances include – Ormiston House, Guest artist for Harmony In Paradise Chorus, Ipswich International Tattoo, Clan Campbell Annual Bannockburn Dinner, Tartan Day at Southbank, Operapolitan at Brookside, Performances for the Redland Pipe Band, AVEO Retirement Village, Heritage Winery, Opera on the Mountain, Performance with the Gold Coast Philharmonic, and various private functions. She has also been asked to represent Australia at the 2008 Pacific Arts Festival to be held in Pago Pago American Samoa.
 
In March 2009 Kathleen will be performing at the ‘Angels Unite’ Concert in Miami. Other artists to include, Olivia Newton John, Ricki Martin and guest artists from the UK Europe and the USA.
