HAWAIIAN / POLYNESIAN ENTERTAINMENT

We Present:

Our dance troupe, "Drumbeats of Hawaii" includes beautiful hula dancers in traditional Tahitian grass skirts with colorful flowers and shell leis. Men of the South Pacific keep time with drums and dances of Tahiti, Samoa, Cook Islands, New Zealand and of course Hawaii.

These shows are vibrant & stunning creating excitement and a tropical island experience for all. Combine this with brightly lit tiki torches, fire knife twirlers, live music & drumming, and the dramatic entry of the hula dancers. We add the traditional conch blower to kick off the event announcing the arrival of  special guests or to announce your meal being served.

Atete's Hawaiian & Polynesian Shows cater for all occasions both corporate & private.  You can choose any combination of dancers & musicians to suit your budget and venue.

Shows start at very reasonable prices.  Most shows use a combination of live music & recorded music accompanied by live drums of the Pacific.

Our dancers use a variety of costumes and keep to the traditions of each dance, taking pride in the essence of Polynesia.

A 30- 45 minute show-4 dancers & 1 or 2 live musicians:  (+ travel if long distance)

• Maori Long Poi- a skillful dance of New Zealand- on demand
• Samoan traditional dancers - for specialized events
• Fire knife dancer or girls fire drum dance- where venue permits
• Audience participation: An emcee guides you through a simple Hula Lesson or for a bit more excitement; learn a Tribal Drum dance. Everyone is involved as the audience claps the loudest for the winning couple in this fun contest.

INCLUDES A FULL DANCE REVUE: 5 or more men and women of the South Pacific in traditional costumes, perform a number of drum dances and hulas of Hawaii with a few quick costume changes authentically matching the varied island dances.

HAWAIIAN WEDDING BLESSING:

It is pure poetry in motion as the Kumu Hula takes you through the dance which tells a story of everlasting love. A treasured moment is created in less than 10 minutes which creates a perfect keepsake and photo opportunity. It is a brief pause in the couples busy celebration bringing added meaning to the blessed event.

This authentic Hawaiian Blessing is not religiously specific and suitable for all cultures. Kumu Hula performs the Hawaiian Wedding Blessing to "Ke Kali Nei" a song in English and Hawaiian, live musician included:
