DJ MegagirlDJ Megagirl, also known as Widia, is adandy Hindustani lady, who is born and raised in the Netherlands.
 
Six years ago, she has got her nickname “Megagirl”, from a very good friend and since that time this name has been like a second “first” name.
 
Musical backgroundMegagirl comes from a musical family. Both of her brothers play the guitar very well and her father played the Indian tabla.
 
She is raised with music of AC/DC, Jimmy Hendrix, Prince, Michael Jackson, Charlez Aznavour, Olivia Newton John till plain Dutch music and pop, but since the last period of six years she is also at home with club, dance, house and other music scenes. You can say she has a big interest in almost every kind of music.
 
DJ-StartOn 13 January 2003, she got her first turntables for her birthday, because she wanted to play records since she was little. She was always busy with music. So when a bar owner of her hometown presented her two second hand turntables to start with, her husband accepted that offer and gave it to her as present.
 
Just 5 months later she got her first mixer to complete the set and after some short lessons she was ready to play. Now, in 2006 the people have discovered her and she is in the run to get hot in and outside the country.
 
 
Music StylesHer own music styles are Club, tribal, elektro,techno, progressive, latin, club-trance, deep house, but she also plays Hed Kandi, dance, some Bollywood music, R & B, UK garage and more.  Most of the time it depends on the theme and the demand of the evening.
 
A little tough, but also uplifting (party) and floor-filling. Popular and non-popular.
 
She likes to play and mix different styles, because she thinks one style is to boring to listen to and to dance to for many hours. She also thinks the dj must entertain the crowd and has to give positive vibrations while playing. Further on she thinks it’s the best way to stay yourself (If you are a dj or not) in any case.

Dj Megagirl gets her gigs from places like style full clubs, private and business events like for IT- concern CapGemini in May this year and the Merit Awards (2007) in Brussels/Belgium and (female only or kinky or just mixed) party’s like …
 
Club LA (Amsterdam), Catacombe (Amsterdam), Crazyland (Amsterdam), RAI expo (Amsterdam), Girlz’nStyle (Utrecht, Amsterdam), City Hall Utrecht, Gogonut Club (Lelystad), Dolce Vita Club (Herten, Maastricht), Club Bacchus (Enkhuizen) Island Texel (NLD), Club TNT, (Kreta-Greece), in a barn on the Island Texel, Holland Casino (Enschede) and she also had the honour to perform before Congress people in the Hague.
