Welcome! I am a Sydney-based bellydancer, entertaining and educating in the Sutherland Shire, Georges River, Liverpool, Bankstown and North of Wollongong areas.
My specialities are teaching people new to the dance; performing in family restaurants, and combinations of the two for one-off ladies’ events like birthday parties, hens days, book clubs, etc. I prefer the titles middle eastern dancer, raqs sharqi artist, or folkloric dancer, because there is so much more involved than just the belly!
For me, it’s about creating a fun and interesting atmosphere for everyone present.
I do love dancing with others; that’s why I’ve always danced with troupes (currently with Desert Dreams and Farrah: the Egyptian Dance Artists) and find a special satisfaction in connecting with an audience or a classroom.I teach weekly classes at Miranda and Roselands through Inspire Bellydance.
In the past I’ve been resident dancer at: Chelsea’s Kogarah, Mantra Top Ryde, Kazbah Top Ryde and Balmain, Cafe D’or Burwood, Sofie’s Balmain, and Sahra by the River Parramatta.
