Tomas Lorenzo is a Sydney based professional guitarist and recording artist from Barcelona, Spain.Functions, Corporate and Private Events, Weddings.. Born in Wollongong but raised in Spain after it´ dictators death. A Berklee College of music graduate that has lived in Spain and toured endlessly Europe and USA during the last 30 years Thomas is highly regarded for delivering an explosive passionate performance with emotions that encompasses the beauty and the values of his mediterranean culture. He has performed and recorded with Grammy award winners Alphonso Johnson, Bruce Sugar ( Ringo Star ), Walfredo Reyes ( Santana), Dave Garfield ( George Benson), Pepe Motos ( Sara Bara, Paco de Lucia), Albert Bover ( Art Farmer)His last solo CD Spanish Breeze achieved top 20 ranking of USA world music charts in 2011.
CONNECTING TO COUNTRY HIS LATEST WORKS
Thomas was born on Dharawal country. Since a child all his music has been a reflection of mother nature. Thanks to the teachings of Aboriginal Culture by Traditional Custodians his music has now a deeper connection to the beauty of our land.
In 2021 Thomas was the recipient of a Creative Arts Grant from the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria. Works derived from such include his collaboration with the Gunai Kurnai Custodian Storyteller Wayne Thorpe, a 40 minute musical suite based upon the Creation story of Waratah Bay in East Gippsland, Victoria Australia
In 2022 he collaborates with the Dharawal Custodian Storyteller Dr Jodi Edwards as part of her Fellowship through RMIT University to compose and develop music for her project The Melodies of Language with the focus on Dharawal Lore.
