Bernadette Mether is a classically trained mezzo-soprano with spinto ability, exceptional range and versatility as well as an accomplished guitarist. She enjoys performing in many styles including classical, jazz and music theatre genres. Her musical qualifications include a BA and Dip Ed (University of Melbourne), AMusA (AMEB) and the LTCL Recital (Trinity College London). She has musically directed Mornington Peninsula theatre groups and organised many local charity events. For numerous years she has performed as a church cantor, as well as giving concerts and solo recitals and providing the music for weddings and funerals both interstate and on the Peninsula. Most recently, she has performed Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben and Elgar's Sea Pictures with pianist Pamela Christie and De Falla's 7 Popular Spanish Songs with classical guitarist, Tania Ravbar as well as Sea Pictures with the Maroondah Symphony Orchestra.
