David Cashman and Meera Bell Thomson are trained musicians who have worked all over the world in a variety of genres.
David Cashman
David studied classical and jazz piano at the Sydney Conservatorium and undertook postgraduate jazz studies. He has since been in demand as a pianist, arranger and band leader all over the world. He was recently a jazz artist-in-residence in Christchurch, NZ and is currently recording a new album with his piano trio, dc3.
Meera Bell Thomson
Meera sang in pub and jazz bands before training as an opera singer in the UK. She has since sung at the Royal Albert Hall and at the famous Glastonbury Festival as well as featuring in the Manchester Last Night Of The Proms. She has just finished several years as the featured artist in the Ballroom of the legendary Queen Elizabeth 2 ocean liner singing everything from Gershwin to Bacharach and has given several solo show performances aboard.
The Duo
David and Meera met in 2001 and worked together in cabaret. They reunited in 2004 on the QE2 and enjoyed working with each other so much, they decided to continue it after leaving the ships.
