Trumpet are a 5 piece Melbourne jazz band playing styles of jazz music from bebop to bossa nova and beyond. Trumpet also delve into blues, funk, soul and 50s rock n roll.
Trumpet have performed at private and public events and locations in Melbourne and more including The Langham Hotel - Southbank, The Park Hyatt - Melbourne, Willow Creek Vineyard - Mornington Peninsula and Fergusson Winery in the Yarra Valley.
Apart from regular public performances the band is available for private functions and events including birthday parties, Christmas parties, corporate entertainment and weddings in Melbourne and surrounding areas.

Trumpet are an in demand and experienced Melbourne jazz band that has been together since forming at local Melbourne jazz jams in 2009 and have played over 100 public and private gigs during this time.
The Musicians
Anthony Pell - Electric Bass / Double Bass / Backing Vocals
Anthony has played in several groups in Melbourne and is the resident bassist at Dizzy's jazz jam sessions. He has released several albums of electronic/funk/dub music under the name of Apell and has was featured in Bass Player Magazine. His favourite jazz bass players include Jaco Pastorius, Paul Chambers and Ron Carter.
David Ruiz - Vocals/Trumpet
David has performed at The Paris Cat, La Pena, and The Glasshouse, and has collaborated with Melbourne Pianist Ted Woollan on several recordings. He studied and performed with Bob Sedergreen and Julie O'Hara. His favourite singers include Chet Baker, Frank Sinatra and Al Green.
Elliott Joe - Guitar
Elliott has played in several big bands and combos throughout Australasia and Asia. Elliott's favorite guitar players are Gilad Hekselman, Allan Holdsworth and Grant Green.
Mihoko Abe - Alto & Tenor Saxophone
Mihoko is a Japanese native with a love of John Coltrane, Michael Brecker, Chris Potter, Charlie Parker and many other noteworthy jazz saxophonists.
