Swing West Jazz Orchestra
Swing West Big Band is a 19-member Big Band with many musicians having 30 plus professional years of playing either in their own jazz bands or for some of the most well-respected Entertainers and Big Bands in Australia and abroad. Three of our members have played extensive lengths with Daly Wilson Big Band, Warren Daly and Ed Wilson Big Bands*.
SWJO is in the Penrith area and has been Entertaining audiences at various Clubs, Private Functions charity events for many years. It’s love for Big Band music and a passion for entertaining the community that brings us together to form one of the best Big Bands in the Western Sydney Region.
We believe that SWJO brings a taste of nostalgia for the old and something new and fresh for the young by playing Big Band tunes that are recognized by both young and old.
Hear the music of Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Benny Goodman, Gordon Goodwin, Glenn Miller and many of the old & New Big Band favourites. Sing and Dance along with tunes from Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Natalie Cole, Ella Fitzgerald to name a few
