SMILE Duo

The name of the duo matches the smiling faces on the stage. They feel comfortable there. Both believe this is due to the wide variety of contracts in Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Enriko is a degree piano player and a lot of experience in classical music. Thanks to his passion for computers and software, he combines piano with keyboard playing and creates an individual sound of their high-quality backing tracks.

The front face and lead vocal Irena (who can play the accordion too) is most proud of that period of their career when they have mostly worked for Sheraton & Hilton Hotel chains in Bangkok, Colombo, Ankara, and Algiers.

“We met different people with different musical tastes and wanted every guest to discover their song in our program. During this period, we worked very hard, but these are our most memorable moments.”

For the last eight years, their new challenge is the work on MSC cruises. They apprehend that the common language between the different nationalities (usually more than 6) and the musical preferences and ages, is the music.

Irena and Enriko think the well-done job speaks for itself. They enjoy what they do and always try to pass that pleasure to their guests to create a good mood and positive feedback.

Thanks to our international song list and our ability to speak Russian and German we have successfully entertained the vacationers and the local visitors.

2010 - 2011

SRI LANKA - Hilton Colombo

We performed at the lobby with a song requests tradition.

We learned to warm-up not only the evening but every single set.

We called this strategy the "The Sri Lanka Method" that we still use.

2008 - 2009

THAILAND - Sheraton Royal Orchid Hotel, Bangkok

About a week after our performance at the lobby, the contract was extended from 6 months to a year - the most unforgettable in our lives.
