Stylin’ are an exciting duo who deliver a fresh approach to timeless songs through electric and acoustic guitars, djembe drum and engaging vocal harmonies. Steve Lowry and Matt Bray first met through the vibrant Melbourne music scene in 1998 and have played alongside each other in various line-ups ever since, amassing over 3,000 gigs between them. Both possess a keen musical knowledge and a supreme sense of rhythm, harmony and humour as they set about creating an outfit that delivers a unique twist on the “garden variety” acts seen in most venues.
Stylin’ began performing regularly in 2008 at various functions, as well as at “The Local Taphouse” in St Kilda where you will find them entertaining every Wednesday evening as part of an extended 12-month residency. With Steve on acoustic and electric guitar, and Matt on acoustic guitar and percussion (djembe), Stylin’ have created a sound all their own.
