Susie and Rohan have a rich musical history together; both are well-seasoned musicians training in jazz and contemporary music at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Together they bring to “Pepper and the Blues” years of musical and industry experience and an exceptional passion and attention to quality music making that set them apart from the rest.
Available as a core duo, “Pepper and the Blues” can adapt personnel to fit whatever your function or wedding requires and can also be available as a 2-4 piece jazz/ covers band. Being highly experienced and profesional musicians, 'Pepper and the Blues' can taylor to your requests, providing any combination of drums, bass, saxophone, guitar, violin or keyboard, if it's a full band you require. Susanne and Rohan will happily cater to specific musical requests provided in the lead up to your event.

Susanne Hardy
The soulful and sweet vocal stylings of Susanne Hardy will be sure to create an atmosphere at your wedding, cafe or event.
Having studied with a number of high profile vocal teachers while studying a Bachelor of Music with a vocal major at QUT and the Central Qld Conservatorium of Music, Susanne has a background in singing jazz, musical theatre and contemporary music. She has performed in a number of leading roles in musical theatre companies both within Brisbane and Mackay and has taught singing extensively within schools, choirs and her home studio.
Susanne’s performance experience in and around Brisbane has involved regular cafe jazz nights, corporate and charity events and most commonly, weddings. She sings for her duo Pepper and the Blues as well as the Brisbane jazz band Dolphin Green Street.
Rohan Hardy
Rohan Hardy is a highly experienced guitarist and jazz saxophonist having graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Jazz) from the Qld Conservatorium of Music in 2005.
Rohan has performed jazz and his original music in a number of ensembles and bands including The Two Man Band, Rohan Hardy Quintet and Unit, Dolphin Green St and Pepper and the Blues at venues such as The Troubadour, Rics, QPAC Concert Hall, Woodford Folk Festival and many more.
His current duo, Pepper and the Blues (which can be extended to include 3-4 members upon request) are known for their creative interpretations of famous classic songs. This acoustic and often bluesy twist creates a wonderful atmosphere at bars, restaurants and events, while they also have an extensive selection of repertoire suited to wedding ceremonies.
