Olé

The duo consists of Rita Azoppardi (vocals and saxophone), and Vincenzo Martinelli (guitar). The third (optional) musician adds live percussion (bongo, cow bell) etc, which adds a nice rhythmic touch to the sequenced backing. Coming from a long line of internationally renowned musicians Rita Azzopardi sings like a bird! She has shared the stage with INXS, The Rockmelons, Dame Shirley Bassey and Chic Corea and is highly regarded in her field. This lady also plays percussion and saxophone and adds another dimension to an already polished show. Vincenzo Martinellii’s a recording artist who has performed in most countries of the world. Having studied in Italy with maestro Lucio Dossa at the Centro Romano della Gitarra in Rome, Italy, his style is heavily influenced by Spanish, Latin and Flamenco music. He continues to perform exclusively in concert in the up market luxury international cruise market. Vincenzo’s latest CD release “Che Sara” is presently enjoying worldwide critical acclaim. Ole?’s inexhaustible pursuit of excellence will guarantee a first class and highly entertaining performance.

I first met Vince Martinelli and Rita Scott last May at the Esplanade Hotel in Newcastle
where they were playing in the restaurant for a Mother’s Day luncheon.
 
My wife Mary and I were so impressed with the talented performance that we asked
them to play at the Newcastle Grammar School dinner dance held in September 1999. 
This performance for the school received extremely positive comments from many of
the people at the dinner dance.  Vince has a wonderful skill at playing the guitar and
Rita is a magnificent singer.  We then invited them to perform at our company
Christmas party held on 18 December 1999, for which we are extremely grateful and
they were again superb.
 
I would have no trouble highly recommending them to anyone who wishes to engage
them to play at a function.
