The founders and core of the group are Fran Kelly (vocals,percussion) and Gus McKinstray (sax, keyboards). Collectively their experience in the music industry in both Brisbane and Melbourne spans 20 years. ).
Amazon Blue perform as a duo, trio , four piece and on to a six-piece band when lucky enough to need a larger group for conferences and functions.
Now based back on theSunshine Coast, they are creating quite a stir with their fresh repertoire of a jazz, groove based style. It seems there is a large number of people over 25 that want a change in the music they listen to and they are loving the ambience surrounding Amazon Blue.
