The Past:

For many years now, the name Past to Present has been recognized as a force to be reckoned with on the live circuit. The band have not only had successful long-term residencies locally, but have also played to worldwide audiences, from the Hard Rock Café in Indonesia, to Ericsson Stadium in New Zealand.

Over the years, the band has also shared the stage with legendary international acts including James Brown, Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Earth Wind & Fire, Destiny’s Child, Montell Jordan, Nelly Furtado, Shaggy, and Craig David to name a few.

The members of Past to Present are:  Frank, Norman, Joanne, Dayne, Matt and Johann – six talented entertainers who each deliver their own quintessential flavour whilst collectively priding themselves on taking their musicianship and showmanship to the next level. The result is nothing short of dynamic!

The frontline vocalists Frank, Norman and Joanne are all successful recording artists who have released original music both locally and internationally, boasting a string of Top 40 hits.

Joanne’s debut single ‘Jackie’ also earned her an ARIA Award for the ‘Highest Selling Australian Single of 1999’.

The backline musicians are the funkiest musicians around. Dayne (drums/programming), Johann (bass) and Matt (guitar/synth) have all worked in the music scene for many years, and have also worked with other artists on the live stage and in the recording studio. These artists include Lady Gaga, Jason Singh (Taxiride), Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera), Rob Mills, Bonnie Anderson, Kate Alexa, Dean Geyer, Renee Geyer and Jimmy Cupples among many others.

The Present:

PTP currently boast a live show second to none, boasting a high energy show featuring the greatest R&B classics, top 40 hits, old school funky tunes and reggae classics. The intoxicating male and female vocal harmonies (and even raps), the musicianship, and the production are all world-class. A Past To Present live set is like a non-stop DJ set, seamlessly mixing dance floor favorites one after the other; and their medleys are mash-ups are always a highlight.
