"Pastiche" provides a rich sound comprising flute, Violin and cello. The repertoire consists of light classics such as Bach's 'Air on a G String' and Pachelbel's 'Canon', interspersed with bossas and tangos such as 'Tico Tico' and 'Manha da Carnival'. All players are professional musicians, coming from a rich background of musical experience ranging from orchestral to jazz to latin.
Gaye Thomas - Flute Studied at NSW Conservatorium of Music with Jane Rutter. Has performed in Orchestras, Jazz bands, accoustic duos and trios. Performed with Latin Groups at many festivals and venues including Brunswick Music Festival, Latin American Festival - Bondi, Sydney Carnivale, Sebel Townhouse, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Mackay entertainment centre.
Elizabeth Cooney - Violin Studied music at University of NSW. Comes from a large family of 7 professional musicians. A regular performer in many orchestras. Performs classical as well as latin and gypsy styles.
Michael Stevenson - Cello A graduate of University of New England in music. Michael plays both acoustic 4 string and electric 5 string cellos, and has also dabbled in the guitar, double bass, piano and singing. He has extensive experience collaborating with singer/songwriters, film composers, orchestras and chamber groups and has also written and recorded a collection of his own songs. He brings to his cello playing performance experience from a wide variety of genres including baroque period performance, jazz, rock, folk, world and, more recently, electronica.
