We are currently on our world tour, taking us to country NSW. We are happy to be paid to travel and play. One unusual request in USA for us, but it didnt quiet come off.
Cattle class is OK on the plane, but no dumps on accom.
We are the Flying Seamen.
We play faster paced fun style Irish music, (very little trad)
We get 200+ people up each week singing with us at the Coach n Horse in Randwick, and we PACK Jimmys bar out each time we play.
If you feel your gang are up to it, we can get the atmosphere magic.
The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, Floggin Molly, Dubliners, Saw Doctors ... you get the craic.
How did we get that name? Our Bodhran Player Ben Curley (the ladies man) has a history from World War 2 as a Naval Office in the 15th International Brigade in Cordoba Spain. And I of course has done some domestic flight between here and the Gold Coast. So we put 2 and 2 together to come up with the “Flying Seamen”
We are
Ronan O’Reilly (Guitar and inaudible vocals)
Bryan Ligertwood (Guitar and even more inaudible vocals)
Ben Curley (Percussion and massage)
Tommy Horse Ward (Vocals - banjo)
Murray Schultz (Accents – Vocals – Guitar)
Antone Homan (More guitars than the gypsy kings and vocals)
Patrick Quinn (on the quiver and you guess it…..guitar)
Anyone who can sing a chorus…. Seamen of the Day!!!
