MRJO (Murray Riverina Jazz Orchestra) is an 18 piece jazz ensemble formed out of a vision to see a modern high energy big band based in the NSW Riverina and North East Victoria. The big band performs the music of various composers and artists such as Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band, Bob Curnow, Count Basie, Charles Mingus, Buddy Rich and the Phil Collins Big Band. Vocally, we cover a vast array of artists such as the music of Harry Connick Jr, Robbie Williams, Queen Latifah, Natalie Cole, Bette Midler and Michael Bublé. The big band consists of musicians from across the North East Victoria, NSW Riverina, Melbourne, Canberra and North-West Victoria, many of whom have had many years experience performing in various professional settings.
Some of our repertoire includes but is not limited to; Ain't that a Kick in the Head, Have You Met Miss Jones, Mack the Knife as performed by (Robbie Williams); Almost Like Being in Love, Avalon, Orange Coloured Sky, L.O.V.E as performed by (Natalie Cole); Come By Me, I Could Write a Book by (Harry Connick Jr); Come Fly With Me, Feelin' Good as performed by (Michael Bublé); Count Bubba, I Won't Dance, Jazz Police, Too Close for Comfort by Gordon Goodwin (Big Phat Band); Groovin' Hard by (Buddy Rich), , I'm Gonna Live Till I Die as performed by (Queen Latifah) to name a few.

Package 1 (Premium) 3 x 45 minute sets for a 19 piece jazz orchestra (big band) Set 1 is a mix of music by Harry Connick Jr, Bette Midler, Queen Latifah, Phil Collins and Natalie Cole to name a few. Set 2 can be a specialised Michael Bublé show. Set 3 can be a specialised Robbie Williams show. These sets can alter in order. This also includes 1 male and 1 female vocalist. Requests are taken, however, a minimum of 2 months notice per song is required in order to adequately prepare the song/s. Included in the pricing is full PA and Production (lighting), an MC mic as well as an input for music to be played on iPod during breaks (music selected by client). We are able to also provide music for wedding ceremonies, either small group or full big band upon request. Please note, accomodation may be required depending on location of event. Fee neg. |
