Andrews Sisters Tribute can travel as a four to nine member band in Australia or abroad.
Four would be with backings i.e. 3 gals, Sax player/backings operator.
Seven member band is three vocalists, sax, piano, bass & drums.
Eight member band is three vocalists, sax, trumpet player/vocalist, piano bass & drums.
Nine member band is trombone player - alias Glenn Miller.
For the 2nd or 3rd brackets, we can play upbeat, contemporary music as well.
Three sassy, entertaining gorgeous, harmonious, humble Divas are supported by a rambunctious, dynamic professional band that deliver with toe-tapping rousing music of the ‘40s & beyond! Known as the Andrews Sisters Tribute, they lift spirits & boost morale encouraging the “troops” to sing, clap along & do an ol’ shoe shuffle.
The diverse Show starts with a “warmer” by our talented Trumpet player/Vocalist who drops Three a couple of “jokes” then the ladies march in with their authentic WW2, USA army uniforms, singing “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”. Whilst we take people on a trip down memory lane in our first bracket, we chasse into either beautiful red, white & blue ballgowns or day frocks with big skirts & gloves in the 2nd bracket. This includes more of the Andrews Sisters music, but also displays the influences they had on other femme fatale groups e.g., Manhattan Transfer & whom they sang with, The Supremes & Pointer Sisters.
Our boogie, boisterous rendition of “Candyman” by Christina Aguilera also ignites the crowd. Towards the end we state, “If the Andrews Sisters were around today, maybe they’d sound a little bit like this” & launch into our own medley of Abba songs in three-part harmony. This arouses a huge reaction, finishing with Glenn Miller’s “In the Mood” as each band member plays a solo. Presenting this dynamic Show, our front-line brass players (either two or three) are called “Boogie Beat Horns” & dress in the same WW2 regalia.
Three dynamic divas with a five-piece band igniting the stage. You’ll be, “In the Mood” with The Andrews Sisters Tribute Morning Melodies Show!

BACKGROUND
The Andrews Sisters were the most successful female vocal group of the 1st half of the 20th Century in the US. They boasted exuberant, close- harmony styles well-suited to cheery, novelty songs. Their intricate vocal arrangements & rhythmic ability mirrored the sound of the swing bands of their heyday. An archetypal representation of depression-era grit &
optimism, it is only fitting that in these Covid-19 times, their comforting & positive sound is once again in huge demand.
We are excited to be part of this home-grown program of events! We’re all highly skilled music professionals who have performed together to critical acclaim for nearly 15 years.
We strongly believe in the power of music to brighten your mood. With retirees, seniors & people with disabilities experiencing higher than normal rates of loneliness & social isolation, we honestly love the privilege of entertaining these troops.

THE ANDREWS SISTERS TRIBUTE at SUNSHINE COAST JAZZ CLUB
The Andrews Sisters Tribute, the Boogie Beat Band, the Sunshine Coast Jazz Club, the Power Boat Club, a perfect way to spend a sunny May afternoon. The MH band led by Peter(The Scarlet Pimpernell )Uppman, opened with a medley, then in full USA Army
uniforms the girls opened with “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” followed by several Andrew Sister hits. Each of the Sisters starred with solos 'A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square”, ”Tea For Two”, ”Is You Is or Is You Ain’t My Baby'. The hot musicians, Captain Rob,
Sergeant Eddie and Corporal Peter were superb. The rhythm trio Jo on keyboards, John on bass and Jim on drums, kept the beat and solos steady. The second set saw the girls dressed in glorious gowns and a thrilling “Tuxedo Junction” led the afternoon into a medley
of “Abba Hits' and Aretha Franklin, and then Sergeant Eddie played the Acker Bilk “Strangers on the Shore”. How to finish a concert like this. Well how about “Chattanooga Choo Choo Boy”? The floor was packed with dancers. More More!! Yes, Yes, said the
Andrew Sisters - “Are you in the mood”. Oh Yeah we shouted. So a final “In the Mood” closed an absolutely magnificent afternoon of the best entertainment from the best of the best.
