RAVEN is a duo consisting of a husband and wife both with an extensive musical background.

It began with a wife (AJ) who wanted to tone it down a notch from the heavy genre they usually played, to a more laid back acoustic sound. After around four years (yes, four years!) of the husband (Sven) saying "yes" then "no", then "yes" then "no", and with a lot of convincing by AJ, Sven decided he would finally make the commitment and together they became...RAVEN. 

AJ began singing and writing music at 15 years of age and has played in a number of bands throughout the years. Her influences come from many different areas, extending from classical music to rock and heavy metal; she also has a love for Celtic and Nordic folk music, as well as other music from ancient cultures.

Sven plays the guitar for Raven and has been playing music since he was 15. At this age Sven dedicated his time to sitting in a classroom, practising the guitar during recess and lunch, which has allowed for him to become the guitarist he is today. He has been in a number of bands throughout the years, supporting major artists such as Ozzy Osborn and Slipknot. Sven's influences come from 80's guitar shredders and melodic Swedish metal.
