Paper Pirates is an acoustic duo that performs at clubs, hotels, restaurants, weddings, parties, themed events and corporate functions.
We are also able to provide M.C. services for special functions, and we have a huge selection of recorded music available before, after and in-between live musical sets.
We play a selection of 1970s, 1980s and 1990s songs, with a focus on the Countdown era of Australian music.
We use professional P.A. equipment including a 1,000 watt Yamaha EMX512SC 12 channel powered amplifier plus 2 x 15” HH front-of-house speakers and foldback speakers. On stage, we play from a range of high quality guitars including Cole Clark, Martin, Taylor, Maton and Yamaha.
Bill Kotevski plays lead acoustic for the duo and adds backing vocals too. Bill is a versatile full-time musician and music teacher, with 25 years of experience and a long list of credits including lead guitarist for The 031 Rock Show and New Sensation - The INXS Experience.
Brett Green provides lead vocals and acoustic guitar. He has performed at many Sydney, Southern Highlands and Illawarra venues, including Camden Sports Club, Ribs and Rumps restaurant Campbelltown, Coogee Legion Club, Peakhurst Inn, Penshurst Hotel, Panania Hotel, Paddington RSL, Picton’s Melanoma March in 2015 and 2016, Bulli Foragers’ Markets, Bowral's Grand Hotel and Picton Valley Motel, in both solo and duo mode.
