With the incredible vocals and superb guitar work of Neil Scott (ex British ‘70s rock band
Chalice), a rhythm section comprising legendary musical director and bassist Peter Robinson (ex
The Strangers and ‘80s on the Edge) and leading
Melbourne rock drummer Peter Reed (ex
New Dream, Gary Young, Phil Manning, Pantha, Lynne Randall, The Tremors,
Johnny O’Keefe), plus the punk energy of Peter Summers on guitar and keys (ex Riverina Playboys, Strange Idols), The Substitutes faithfully produce the sounds of the ‘60s, just like the record, but with real spirit, dry humour and a passion that you will remember.
